Dr. Darius Durr is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. At an early age, he took an interest in the natural world and pursued a Zoology degree and later a doctorate from The Ohio State University. After graduation, he worked in both the private and corporate sector in both Ohio and southern California.
Dr. Demner is a board-certified surgeon and is available for advanced surgeries including orthopedics, soft tissue and emergency surgeries. He is one of the most trusted veterinarians in San Diego for fracture repair and TPLO knee surgeries for cruciate (ACL) injuries. Dr. Demner’s vision is to deliver the best surgical care to patients in the comfort and familiarity of their primary care hospital… while receiving the same expert care found at specialty centers at a fraction of the price. He enjoys all aspects of surgery, but his specific interests include orthopedic, and soft tissue surgery.

Hey there! I’m Samantha, a registered veterinary technician who’s been part of the vet world since 2019. I’ve spent my career in general practice, where every day brings new paws, personalities, and challenges—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to work in Arizona as a lead surgery tech, and that experience completely ignited my passion for the surgical side of vet med. There’s just something about being in the OR, hands-on and heart in it, that feels like home.
Whether I’m monitoring anesthesia, prepping patients, or assisting with procedures, I’m all about giving animals the care they deserve and supporting the team that makes it all happen.
